According to the revelations of a recent survey conducted by Red Driving School, the presence of children in cars is the biggest distraction for UK drivers and nearly 31% drivers get diverted from proper attention by squabbling offspring.

On the list, the second distraction was presented as comments from backseat drivers which was estimated at 28% factor in distraction.

Compared to younger drivers (aged 18-24 at 34%), more 35-44 year olds are distracted by children onboard and over 55's cite those unhelpful comments from backseat drivers as most distracting.

Mobile phone come at number three for distracting drivers in the UK, pointing that 20% of drivers don't insist on mobile phones being switched off while driving.

Other distractions include loud music being played at 13% and the driver or passenger smoking being the least popular overall at 4%.
