The family run driving school New Driver has become possibly the first driving school to be awarded the Investors in People (IIP) bronze award. The award has come about after the IIP created a new level of accreditation under their "Beyond the Standard" element, which is designed to focus on advice and assessment work.
Sasha Morgan, Director at New Driver commented "We are true advocates of Investors in People, having first received The Standard in 2004. We are in no doubt that over the years, IIP has helped us to improve financial performance, increase profitability and meet our strategic objectives. Following unprecedented growth and development in recent years, we felt that this was the right time to go a step further and attain the Bronze Award.
"This was especially important because at the same time we were analysing our growth success as part of our strategy for the future. In order to achieve the Bronze Award, we had to take a healthy step back, examine all areas of our business and ensure that the focus for all our people is firmly aligned with our plans for expansion. A lot of extra work went into gaining the Award and we know that it will stand us in good stead."
