Posted: 07 August 2011286 Days ago

Brake is targeting driving instructors, secondary teachers and youth leaders to attend a low cost, one-day course to be trained to lead 2Young2Die workshops for teenagers about the dangers of driving and being a passenger with a young driver.

Road crashes are a huge killer of young people. 2young2die is Brake's campaign to help young people save their own lives on roads. All too often, due to speeding, drink and drug driving, using mobile phones while driving, or just not belting up, young people are killed or maimed in cars or on motorbikes. Young people on foot and bicycles also take risks that result in death and serious injury. In Britain every day six young people aged 12-19 are killed or seriously hurt on foot or bicycles, and 19 young people under 25 are killed or seriously hurt in cars.

£45 (+ VAT) is the cost and include a year’s free subscription to the Road Safety Forum, which gives you regular updates on road safety news via email and mailings. The course is free for Anyone bereaved or seriously injured by a road crash.

Courses run from 11am to 4pm and are available on these dates:
   Monday 12 September 2011 – Leeds
   Monday 10 October 2011 – Edinburgh
   Tuesday 8 November 2011 – Manchester
