Loughborough University has launched a unique Masters programme that will ultimately help reduce traffic accidents and injury on our roads .
Led by the University’s Transport Safety Research Centre, the MSc in Road and Vehicle Safety has been designed to foster knowledge and technical expertise in a wide range of automotive safety disciplines.
Study areas include: driver behaviour and safety, roads and infrastructure design, vehicle safety systems, crash investigation, and human systems analysis, and draw on the broad and extensive expertise of the programme’s teaching team, with input from visiting traffic safety practitioners.
Among those that would benefit from this tailored programme are professionals in the motor industry, road design, health sector and road safety partnerships and related professional bodies.
This October, the course starts with modules block-taught to enable both full and part time study. A flexible approach to learning means participants can fit studies around work commitments and can gain Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma on their way to the Masters qualification.
